The Institute of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MASHTI), organizes the Kosovo Olympiad in Informatics - OIK 2026.
The Kosovo Olympiad in Informatics aims to identify, select and support the best talents in the field of informatics, as well as prepare them for participation in regional and international level Olympiads. Through this national activity, students gain opportunities for academic development, advanced training in problems at the level of international informatics competitions, as well as representing the state of Kosovo in international informatics competitions.
A team of 4 girls will be selected from the Kosovo Informatics Olympiad to represent the state of Kosovo at the 6th European Informatics Olympiad for Girls - EGOI 2026, which will be held in Cesenatico, Italy, from 12.05.2026 to 18.05.2026.
Students in grades 9–12 from public and private schools in the Republic of Kosovo, whose students show special interest and skills in informatics and programming, can participate in the Kosovo Informatics Olympiad (OIK) 2026. The Olympiad is held in accordance with international standards for informatics competitions for pre-university education students, providing a serious and competitive platform for the development of new talents in this field.
The problems in the Kosovo Informatics Olympiad will be of international standard, fully implementing the official syllabus of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).
